HaShechuna HaLevana
Two residential compounds at the entrance to Karmiel, designed by architect Gabi Schwartz, between two parks.
In the Ramat Navon neighbourhood of Karmiel, this scheme was built under the government's 'Mechir LaMishtaken' and upgrader programmes: 222 homes on the slope of Mount Karmi, facing east over the Lower Galilee hills, the Segev bloc and the city.
There are 30 buildings averaging seven apartments each, most with a garden or penthouse terrace. Built in five compounds at different heights along the slope, the project takes its name from its terraces. A landscaped public route runs down the hill from the summit to the main road.
